Agencies usually try to fit in a backstory when they show Scotland and ask you to visit. It’s almost as if they can’t accept that the country’s beauty alone really is the story. It doesn’t need to be dressed up or overlaid with quirky sub-facts. We shot several of these commercials. The weather was pretty awful, but we made Scotland look like a place you’d really love to visit. That was the brief. And that’s why it worked.
