24 Sep Consultancy ups advisory activity with new service
A brand consultancy based in Edinburgh’s New Town has launched a service to support fast-growth companies preparing for investment rounds and possible M&A activity. Because Brands Matter, founded by former Leith Agency art director David Reid in 2008, is targeting more advisory work with angel and venture capital firms and their portfolio companies.
It has already worked alongside firms backed by the likes of Par Equity, Maven, Archangels and Graphite Capital.
Reid said: “Effective brand building and applied marketing should help to lead a business plan rather than being an afterthought and we’ve developed a process to help ensure that brand capital maximises returns for owners and investors alike instead of pegging valuations back.
“We’re now actively working with a number of investors and fast-growth companies along these lines, so we’ve got some further announcements in the pipeline for 2018.”
It has this year added firms such as Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers to its client list, which also includes Edinburgh Airport, QAS, Marketing Edinburgh, 7N Architects and iMultiply.
