Agencies always try to fit in a back story when they show Scotland and tell you why you should visit. It’s almost as if they can’t accept that the country’s beauty is the story. It doesn’t need to be dressed up or made quirky. We shot several of these commercials and made dozens of posters. We weren’t always blessed with the best weather, but we made Scotland look like a place you’d really like to visit. That was the brief. And that’s why it worked for people.
